51st Australia / New Zealand Division Annual Meeting – Melbourne 2011
The ANZ Division IADR annual meeting was hosted by the Melbourne Section this year. The venue was the Law Building at the University of Melbourne, which is within walking distance or a short tram ride of the Melbourne Dental School and the Melbourne CBD precinct.

Registration and Colgate Reception on Sunday evening 25th September.
The keynote speakers for the event included:
Colgate Eminent lecturer Professor David Beighton - from Kings College in the United Kingdom who will speak on Microbial growth and diversity in the oral biofilm.
Professor Svante Twetman - from the University of Copenhagen, Denmark, a paediatric dentist whose research interest is fluoride and microbial aspects on oral ecology and caries prevention in childhood with focus on clinical trials.
Professor Dianne Rekow - Provost of Polytechnic Institute of New York University, an orthodontist with a strong research interest in dental materials.
