Cooperative Research Centre for Oral Health Science

The Cooperative Research Centre for Oral Health Science (CRC-OHS) at The University of Melbourne brings together scientists, dentists, population health experts and manufacturers to find new and efficient ways of reducing the burden of oral disease in Australia and internationally.
Researchers at the centre carry out their work across two world-class research facilities at the Royal Dental Hospital of Melbourne in Carlton and the Bio21 Molecular Science and Technology Institute in Parkville.
Students in the centre have the opportunity to undertake their research under the guidance of senior researchers, and to work with industry participants in the centre to transfer research into commercial outcomes.
The Centre supports five major research programs:
- Oral Health Informatics
- Novel Diagnostics, Vaccines and Pharmaceuticals
- Nutraceutical Development
- Advanced Materials and Technologies
- Product Development and Clinical Trials
