POSTGRADUATE DIPLOMA IN CLINICAL DENTISTRY
COURSE STRUCTURE
The implant dentistry course is offered part-time over two years (over 4 consecutive semesters) to allow for the extended treatment times for implant patients and for completion of the treatment of a sufficient number of patients.

The oral surgery course is offered full-time over one year (over 2 consecutive semesters) or part-time over two years (over 4 consecutive semesters). For full-time enrolment, semester 1 and 3 subjects are taken concurrently and semester 2 and 4 subjects are taken concurrently.

TIME COMMITMENT
Currently, the implant dentistry course runs for approximately 36 weeks each year for two years with an alternating schedule of contact hours as follows:
- Week 1: all day Monday, all day Tuesday, half day Wednesday
- Week 2: all day Tuesday, half day Wednesday

ASSESSMENT
Each subject has specific assessment requirements. In general, this is a combination of written assignments and examinations, oral examinations and clinical performance. For implant dentistry, the major assessment is at the end of the second year when written examinations are held.
